The Square, Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, SY9 5BN www.thecastlehotelbishopscastle.co.uk Located at the top of the town and a first class establishment for food.It also sells locally brewed beers and has a beautiful garden with great views over the town.Has been listed in the Good Pub and Good Beer Guides for many years.
The Six Bells Inn & Brewery (01588) 630144
Church Street, Bishop's Castle, Shropshire SY9 5AA Nev & Sue Richards www.sixbellsbrewery.co.uk Located at the bottom of the town near the Church this is a gem of a pub. Independently owned with its own brewery on the premises serving up an excellent range of beers.The food is all home made and the service is as friendly as you will find anywhere.Also been in the Good Pub and Good Beer Guides for many years.

Lydbury North Gerry and Sandra McLaren 01588 680 254 The POWIS ARMS is a 17th Century traditional country pub located in the nearby village of Lydbury North (less than 1 mile from the apartment).It serves good quality home cooked food at very reasonable prices(Fish and Chips on Fridays is very popular) and local real ales with regular and often very unusual guest real ales.
The Crown,Clunton A little further afield (just over 5 miles), this community owned pub is friendly local serving very good home made food and and local real ales.Its well worth a visit.
